Sweet Saturdays T1DM Support Group

Come join other people living with Type 1 Diabetes on Kauai and throughout the state of Hawai'i, and get proof that you're not alone! This is an ongoing series and you can join at any time.

This is a newly formed group so the format is flexible and will be based on input from those who attend. You can join via Zoom, or come join us in-person on Kauai at the Hawai'i Nutrition Hui offices. Our office is in the yellow building behind the smoke shops. 

As the moderator I share not only my knowledge as a dietitian and diabetes specialist, but also my experience as someone who lives (and thrives...most of the time) with Type 1 diabetes.  We talk story, discuss diet tips and tricks, play with the latest and greatest in diabetes tech like pumps/smart pens/CGM, and perhaps most importantly lift each other up and build community in what is often a very isolating experience. 

All ages are welcome but the target audience is adults living with Type 1 Diabetes (or any other form of diabetes who uses insulin), and those who love or care for them. 

Teens under 18 - please get parent permission before joining or better yet, have them join with you!
